Music, Chai, Adda and Salt Lake forever

Salt Lake came alive as ‘Abhishek and his friends’ kickstarted the ‘Salt Lake forever’ initiative recently. ‘Salt Lake forever’ is an attempt to increase interaction among the people who live in that locality.
The band covered many popular Bengali and Hindi songs. They started with Mon by Cactus and went on to perform songs like Ami aaj kal bhalo achhi, Ore piya re and other popular numbers.“It feels great to perform here in front of such lovely people,” said Abhishek, the frontman of
the band. The evening was made more interesting with chai and toast. “The ambience was perfect and the performances were great. What else can you ask for on such a winter evening?” asked Lisha Jain, a blogger, who attended the event. “With initiatives like these, the feeling of community increases,” said Ritu Agarwal, who also came down on the first day of Salt Lake Forever.
